Join us for Loyola Opera Workshop’s first performance of the 2023-24 season! Our fall scenes program, “A Family Affair,” explores the world of children, parents, and relationships through opera, operetta and musical theater. Scenes from operas by Mozart, Beethoven, Rossini, Verdi, Humperdinck, Gounod, and Massenet will be heard, as well as excerpts from more contemporary operas by Menotti, Weill, Ned Rorem, and Rachel Portman. Also featured are scenes by Gilbert and Sullivan, the great Cole Porter, and two legendary Broadway teams - Bock and Harnick, and Rodgers and Hammerstein. Carol Rausch is Music Director/Pianist with Stage Directors Irini Kyriakidou and B Schaubbut.
