Creative on Purpose
College of Music and Media
Experience the vibe of the College of Music and Media
Our creative arts culture and thought-provoking classes in history, science, and philosophy will give you something to make art about. At Loyola, you’ll develop your personal creativity to its highest level and witness the impact of your art on others.
Be a part of something bigger
At Loyola we train artists! Students can study all aspects of music performance, classical and jazz, opera and chamber music as well as music education, music therapy, music industry, graphic design, ceramics, sculpture, drawing, painting, acting and stagecraft.
The College of Music and Media prides itself on the relationship between its faculty and students and its comprehensive array of opportunities for performances, exhibits, and ensembles which afford students the opportunity to present their work on a consistent basis. Individual instruction and small classroom sizes enable us to place a strong emphasis on each young artist, educator, or therapist.

Design student Shae Schouest (@ui.shae) captured the energy of Fri(YAY) 🙌—our recurring celebration of creativity that welcomes high school students to the School of Communication and Design for a day of inspiration and hands-on learning!
During this Fri(YAY), students from the Satellite Center explored our majors in Film, Design, and Communication—from telling powerful stories behind the camera, to bringing ideas to life through motion design, to stepping into immersive UX experiences, and diving into the fast-paced world of journalism.
A huge thank-you to our amazing faculty for creating such meaningful, engaging experiences for the next generation of creators.
