Experience the vibe of the College of Music and Media
Our creative arts culture and thought-provoking classes in history, science, and philosophy will give you something to make art about. At Loyola, you’ll develop your personal creativity to its highest level and witness the impact of your art on others.
Be a part of something bigger
At Loyola we train artists! Students can study all aspects of music performance, classical and jazz, opera and chamber music as well as music education, music therapy, music industry, graphic design, ceramics, sculpture, drawing, painting, acting and stagecraft.
The College of Music and Media prides itself on the relationship between its faculty and students and its comprehensive array of opportunities for performances, exhibits, and ensembles which afford students the opportunity to present their work on a consistent basis. Individual instruction and small classroom sizes enable us to place a strong emphasis on each young artist, educator, or therapist.

When you think of Music Therapy, what age group comes to mind? 🎶💛
If you said just kids—or just adults—think again! Music Therapists work with people of all ages and abilities.
In last week’s experiential learning class, Dr. Jessica DeKleva’s students focused on Music Therapy for children. They learned playful songs and creative techniques with puppets, instruments and streamers to promote movement, gross motor skills, healthy interaction and emotional expression. From hospital and clinical settings to schools and community centers, music can be a powerful tool for connection and healing in children.
